Success with Social Media

Social media can be a great way to stay in touch, build relationships, and keep everybody up to date. It’s become a big part of our everyday lives, but the content seems to be becoming less and less meaningful. Advertisements clog our feed and are intertwined with our personal feed. There are many celebrities and people everywhere who are cutting social media out of their lives completely or reducing their use because it does not make them happy anymore. Consumers are “burning out” on social media and there are a few things you can do as a company to bring them back.

Rebuilding trust is the first thing that needs to be done in order to continue or create long-lasting relationships. In order to do this, you need to think of social media as a way to build those relationships instead of just another way to blast customers with promotions and advertisements. By interacting with customers through platforms, there is a great possibility of an outcome of a positive relationship. When it comes to interacting, you need to make sure you have mastered the basics of digital customer service. This means responding as fast as possible to customers. Customer service is crucial to building and maintaining relationships. Customers always come first. Investing in the right tools and having the right people to take care of your customers will earn their trust and loyalty over time.

Directly engaging with customers will lead to a great digital customer experience. One-way communication between a customer and a brand will leave them frustrated. Engaging in real, personalized, and meaningful conversations is key. Whether its solving their problems, answering their questions, or just saying thank you for their feedback, it all can lead to them becoming an advocate for your brand. The last big thing you can do is grow your base of advocates. By having customers talk about your brand, sharing content you posted, or talking positively about your brand, you can reach more potential customers and newsfeeds. The quality of the content needs to be great so many people share it. Social media platforms are regulating the amount of brand-oriented content that organically appears on a persons feed. By posting quality content, you can reach more people. If you put your customers first, you will grow your base of advocates fast through their positive experiences and word of mouth.
