Alyssa Van Altena

President, CMU

Alyssa Van Altena is a senior marketing major from Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Spring 2019 will be Alyssa’s sixth semester on board. Over that time Alyssa has held several positions on CMU board. She started out as an Account Assistant for Lake Geneva Women’s Weekend in Fall of 2016. The following year she was an Account Executive for UW-Whitewater Sustainability. During the Fall 2018 semester she was President Elect of CMU. Now she is the President of CMU board during her final semester at UW-Whitewater.

Outside of AMA Alyssa has been able to apply her skills learned in AMA and CMU to several internships. She was an intern at Lavelle Industries in Sales and Marketing, a Marketing and Sales intern at Axiom, and held her most recent internship at Alto-Shaam as a Marketing intern. Alyssa has also been involved in various Intramurals throughout her time at UW-Whitewater. During her free time Alyssa enjoys kayaking, photography, and watching Marquette Men’s Basketball.

Alyssa is excited for her final semester on board leading a talented group of individuals on her CMU Board. She is eager to work with each board member and help them build their marketing skills!
