Courtney Haakenson

Courtney is a second-year student from Evansville, Wisconsin, majoring in Marketing with a Digital Emphasis. This is Courtney’s fourth semester with AMA and third semester on board. Courtney attends CMU meetings every week, as she is an Account Executive for social media, working on the account Protect Wisconsin Waterways. She is also the VP of Workshops on the Digital board and attends those meetings. She planned our end-of-semester Panquets for the last two semesters through the VP of Event Planning role. Courtney is trying to grow her interpersonal and professional skill set through AMA experiences and get insight into the field of marketing.

Outside of AMA, Courtney has participated in intramural sand volleyball and indoor volleyball. She has also held a job at a local bank in her hometown for the last three years, working as a Customer Service Representative. Courtney has gained leadership experience and developed her problem-solving skills and customer service within this role. This last summer, she had an internship through Lake Ridge Bank, alongside her teller position. Additionally, Courtney loves to travel and has recently visited Italy, France, England, the Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Smokey Mountains. Not to mention that this summer she is going to Germany!

Courtney is very excited to work more with AMA, by growing as a professional individual and is very appreciative for the opportunities she has been presented thus far within the organization.
