As a lecturer and Assistant Director for the Institute for Sales Excellence, Dan brings over 35 years of outside sales and sales management experience to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and AMA chapter. A graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Dan began his career in retail management and soon transitioned into business to business sales, selling copy machines. He then worked for a fortune 500 company selling document management products and filing systems. From there Dan went to a large commercial insurer specializing in specific niche industries. He became a sales manager for the last 22 years of his career, hiring, recruiting and training sales people, while managing over 400 commercial accounts. During his long sales career, Dan earned numerous awards and incentive trips while creating a reputation for promoting and developing people. Dan is a longtime member of the UW-Whitewater AMA and served as an external advisor to the UW-Whitewater Marketing Department and AMA Chapter for many years before becoming a lecturer. Developing and training people is his passion.
