Joan Malcheski is the Director of Brand Strategy & Marketing at the Green Bay Packers, one of the most storied franchises in NFL history. In her role, Joan's goal is to heighten and strengthen engagement with one of the most popular fan bases in professional sports. Joan is known for delivering impactful strategies and campaigns that help shape the Packers' brand identity, enhance the customer experience journey, and deepen fan engagement and loyalty that ensure the team remains a beloved and iconic symbol in the world of sports. Besides branding and marketing, she oversees business intelligence, research, the Junior Power Pack fan club, the Packers Perks rewards program, a robust customer data warehouse, and Packers Everywhere.

Lindsay is a passionate marketer specializing in sports partnerships. At GMR, she leads teams that advise brands on their Olympic & Paralympic marketing and activation plans including brand strategy, athlete integration, event execution, hospitality & operations and more. 

Over her 11+ year career at GMR Marketing, Lindsay has led partnerships for several national and global brands with partners across talent (athletes, entertainers, culinary icons), professional teams and leagues (NFL, NHL, MLB, NASCAR, FIFA) and Olympic & Paralympic properties (Team USA, LA28, Paris 2024 and more). 

A native Michigander, Lindsay is a proud University of Michigan alumna. She now lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Jerrod Woods
Senior Director of Marketing

Clicks to Crowds: Marketing Summerfest in a Connected World

Jerrod, originally from Appleton, Wisconsin, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2013 with a degree in Music Business and Music Recording Technology. He began his career in Nashville, TN, working for a festival producer and an independent music promoter, where he marketed shows across the southeastern U.S. After returning to the Midwest, Jerrod joined First Avenue & 7th St Entry, the iconic Minneapolis club made famous by Prince, before transitioning to the Target Center as Senior Marketing Manager. Currently, Jerrod is the Senior Director of Marketing at Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF), the non-profit organization behind Summerfest, presented by American Family Insurance. In this role, he oversees all advertising, pr & communications, and media sponsorships and relations.

Martha Carrigan
CEO of Big Shoes Network (BSN)

Martha Carrigan is CEO of Big Shoes Network (BSN). She enjoys strategic marketing and business development. She connects creative talent with opportunities and coaches others on the 'next steps' of their professional and personal pursuits. An often-requested presenter at colleges and professional groups, Martha speaks about creative, employment and career-related topics. To her, there's nothing more motivating than hearing, "I found great a person for our job opportunity through Big Shoes!"

Prior to BSN, Martha served in marketing and business development roles in education, non-profit, and IT organizations generating multimillion-dollar business partnerships in software and business services to local, national and international clients.

She earned a B.A. in communication from UW—Milwaukee, a Certificate in Interactive Marketing from De Paul University and is a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW).

Martha has served on advisory and non-profit boards including: AIGA Wisconsin, Madison College, USO Wisconsin, UW-Whitewater Marketing, WCTC and is an ambassador for UW-Milwaukee.

John DeGraff
Senior Marketing Lecturer Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater

Co-Founder of the Innovatrium Institute for Innovation

John DeGraff is Senior Marketing Lecturer Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and Co-Founder of the Innovatrium Institute for Innovation. Over the past few years, John has worked with 20 of the Fortune 500 teaching Leading Innovation and Growth workshops at the Innovatrium and with the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business Executive Education. He has led innovation and growth programs with notable companies like GE, Eaton, Hagerty Insurance, McDonald’s, NBC, Pfizer, and Prudential. John’s early career was defined by his role as a young leader who realized that innovation was the surest pathway to growth. Over the past 25 years he has successfully launched over 150 new products, including two product lines that have earned over 1 billion dollars (Gerber Graduates and first multipack microwave popcorn in Wal-Mart Pop Weaver).
